FAQs

Why is crisis management & operations one of the best jobs for ex military?

The short answer: you have a huge advantage in a highly in-demand niche. Instead of entering an industry where you have to climb the ranks from the bottom, the Crisis Industry is one that directly values discipline, resilience, and leadership—qualities that veterans bring to incomparable standards.

And with the UK Government's Resilience Statement in 2023—putting resilience at the forefront of the national agenda—more organisations than ever are seeking to integrate it into their infrastructure (i.e. requiring experts like you).

Why is it one of the highest paying jobs for military veterans?

The Crisis & Resilience Industry is ultimately about preventing risks. And for organisations with customers, clients, partners, stakeholders, and the reputation that goes with it—they have a lot at stake and will pay to protect it.

By serving them as a manager or consultant, leading through high-pressure situations (or training them to do so) you’ll bring immense value to them—while consolidating a well-paid position that provides security for you and your family.

Will there be an opportunity to advance training after the course?

Most certainly! This course serves as a way to get your foot firmly in the door of Crisis Management—but like any career, there are always ways to advance it.

We offer live training, packed into two days, where you can build on what you learn in the introduction (or simply skip to joining the training) alongside live industry experts, with practice and feedback, and networking opportunities with transitioning service leavers.

I’m busy/can’t take time off, can I still take this course?

Everything about this course was specifically designed so it's easy to follow, at your own schedule. Each module is split into 5-10 minute sessions that are highly focused and immediately applicable (i.e. our signature micro-activation training).

So whether you’re still working in the armed forces or are back home from a long, hard day, you’ll have practical learning you can dip in and out of in your own time—to adapt skills you already have to a corporate setting and the job opportunities that come from them.

Will I get a certificate from it?

Absolutely. We understand the importance of demonstrating your expertise to potential employers, which is why we’ve chosen Credly (the most prominent, globally-recognized digital badge provider) to assign you a badge once you’ve completed the course.

While it doesn’t fall under UK accreditation per se, it certainly brings credibility to your gained expertise and the value you’d bring to organisations—and it’s made to be easy to share on professional networks and job sites.
